Rhyme Time

Community links are really important to us, and we love bringing families together. Every Wednesday from 10:00am–10:30am, we run a fun and friendly Rhyme Time session at Wollaston Library for families with children aged 0–4 years.

Our sessions are all about having fun together through singing, music, movement, and play. We also bring some of our preschool children along so they can enjoy the experience of being part of the wider community and build confidence in different environments.

Rhyme Time is so important for young children’s development. Singing nursery rhymes helps children build their communication and language skills, listening and attention, confidence, memory, and vocabulary. The repetition within songs and rhymes also supports early reading skills and helps children learn new words in a fun and engaging way.

We love using musical instruments, bubbles, scarves, puppets, and sensory props to make sessions exciting, interactive, and enjoyable for everyone involved. There is always lots of laughter, dancing, singing, and joining in!

Most importantly, Rhyme Time gives families the chance to spend quality time together, meet other families within the community, and enjoy a good sing song in a warm and welcoming environment.
