Tax Free Child Care

Tax‑Free Childcare helps working parents with childcare costs by giving a 20% top‑up. You pay money into an online childcare account, and for every £8 you put in, the government adds £2. You can then use that account to pay registered providers like preschools, nurseries, childminders, and clubs.

You can get up to £2,000 a year per child (or £4,000 if your child is disabled). The scheme is for working parents who each earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours at minimum wage, and under £100,000 a year.

You can use it alongside 30 hours free childcare, you just need to reconfirm your details every 3 months to stay eligible.
