Tapestry
We use Tapestry, a secure online learning journal, to record and celebrate your child’s learning and development during their time with us. Through Tapestry, parents, carers and guardians can view photographs, observations and updates that capture the wonderful experiences and achievements your child enjoys within the provision.
Each child has their own individual learning journal, which is updated regularly by their Key Person. Observations are linked to Birth to 5 Matters and help us to monitor and support your child’s progress and next steps in learning. Alongside regular photos and updates, you will also receive more detailed observations throughout the term to give you an insight into your child’s development and daily experiences.
Tapestry helps us to build strong partnerships with families by allowing parents/carers to share special moments, achievements and experiences from home, creating a fuller picture of each child’s learning journey.
All information shared on Tapestry is stored securely and can only be accessed by authorised staff and the child’s parents/carers through secure password-protected accounts. The platform operates in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, ensuring that all personal information, photographs and observations are handled confidentially and in accordance with our safeguarding and data protection policies.
