Payment of fees

  • All our Preschool session fees are chargeable unless they are covered by Early Years Education funding. Such instances where funding does not cover the session fees are; if a child’s funding is allocated to a different provider, or if the child begins attending Preschool sessions before they become eligible for funding. Currently, North Northamptonshire County Council will not permit parents to ‘share’ funding between childcare providers where one offers 38 week contract and the other a 51-week contract. You can share funding where both providers operate a contract for the same number of weeks.
  • All session fees are payable in advance at the time of booking.
  • Session fees are still payable during periods of illness or absence.
  • Fees are due in advance, where there are outstanding fees of 2 weeks or more than your child will not be able to attend any further sessions until the outstanding amount has been paid in full.
  • Our cancellation policy is at least 48hours.

Illness

Please advise the Preschool prior to 9.00am if the child will not be attending due to illness. It is a requirement for settings to know why a child is absent to ensure that the child is safe. Parents agree that a child who is ill (e.g. fever, infection, diarrhoea, communicable disease, or any other type or illness that may be passed on to others, with the exception of the common cold) will be kept at home to protect the well-being of staff and other children in our care. The parents further agree should a child become ill while in our care, that immediate arrangements will be made to collect the child from the Preschool.

Children will not be allowed to return to the Preschool until they have been symptom free for at least 48 hours for a fever and 48 hours for sickness and diarrhoea. In some cases, a note from the doctor may be necessary. By signing this contract, you are agreeing to staff seeking any necessary emergency medical advice or treatment during their time at Wollaston and Strixton Preschool.

Please see our Poorly Children policy for further information.

Withdrawal

Parents agree that a minimum notice of one full month (notice to be given in writing) will be given for permanent withdrawal or reducing hours of any child from the setting or agree to pay one month's fee in lieu. The responsibility is of the parents to ensure that the notice has been one month's fee in lieu. The responsibility is of the parents to ensure that the notice has been received by the office. No exceptions will be made.

Termination

Wollaston and Strixton Preschool reserves the right to suspend or terminate sessions of any child without notice, should it be deemed necessary for the overall safety and well-being of staff and/or other children in our care.
